Street to seat. OPAT or APFT?

Had a couple different recruiters tell me different things. One said I need both one said only OPAT. As a S2S where can I find a good checklist for the March board?

 I took both, but when looking at my packet at MEPS for the November ‘20 board I only saw the APFT. Not saying the OPAT wasn’t submitted in addition to the APFT, I just didn’t see it. I imagine if you took the OPAT, that alone would cover your bases. Don’t take my word on that though, I’m not a recruiter & I think admitting when I don’t know something is actually the right thing to do 😂

I’m also confused about this one. I did the APFT and hadn’t even heard of the OPAT until this week. My packet is complete and with the board right now, so I’m really hoping that won’t cause me any issues.

If you have the option to take both, do both. Have all your bases covered. If they need to look at it, it will be there and they will look at it. If not, then at least you had it done. Keep in mind, at most boards, each candidate is looked at for about 5 minutes so your scores are a simple administrative factor unless you're trying to compete for a seat back to back with someone.

There is a spot to place it on the same form that your essay goes on.  At least there was when I did my board a few months ago.  Check the sample packet that is on the warrant officer page.  It tells you exactly what to write, you just have to put in your own scores.

Or you could email/call the source for this. Call the warrant officer recruiters and they will be able to tell you exactly what’s needed. Not your local Army office recruiter, the legit warrant officers that are recruiters when you go to the warrant recruiting page. Any of them will be able to answer but Chief Sewell was the go to for me on all questions.

I had to do both. I only had a APFT on file, however after the FY21, the recruiter had me do an OPAT afterwards.
