DS_HMMR Posted May 28, 2012 Author Posted May 28, 2012 I now see why you needed an EMS pilot for training! Do me a favor, private message your name and contact info to me. I'd like to chat with you in person. Quote
DS_HMMR Posted May 28, 2012 Author Posted May 28, 2012 I did a quick google search for you, HeloNorth while I was waiting for you to send me your contact info. I noticed that you are (to put it mildly) a complete douchebag/ know-it-all/ Prick; on every website you post on. Your real life must suck pretty hard, for you to be such a bitter pill online for what seems to be at least 6 years across multiple rotorcraft websites. And that's when I started feeling kinda bad for you. You've been trolling websites for six years, that's pathetic. Get a life. Quote
ridethisbike Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 Well that took an interesting turn... If that's "putting it midly" I wonder how he REALLY feels... DS... that post seemed a bit over the top. We all preach professionalism... and that sir, definitely, was not. I didn't go digging for his posts, so he very well may be the "bitter pill", but next time you should do like your mom used to say and "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all." Just sayin... Quote
Falko Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 what happened to DSHMMER video which he posted above ? can somebody re post it for me ? 1 Quote
aeroscout Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 Well now...There is one poster or lurker here on this forum that is a stalker. Quote
ironranger Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 i have personally met helonorth and he is a very nice person wih a lot of experience. He is entitled to his opinion and he lets you know where he stands without sugar coating it. 1 Quote
rotormandan Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 You've been trolling websites for six years, that's pathetic. Get a life. So you spent your time googling his old post on multiple forums. You should take your own advise. Quote
DS_HMMR Posted May 28, 2012 Author Posted May 28, 2012 Honestly, I don't really have the time or inclination to argue. NOR do I have the time to make snide unsolicited comments on other peoples threads. I suppose I wonder how/why HELONORTH has both of those. I also don't think a snide comment constitutes an opinion, it is always negative, and offers no solution, no basis for an argument, etc. Anyone who has observed my posts since I joined this forum will find I have only left replies on other people's threads offering assistance (finding a helmet, etc), or started my own threads sharing the training, flying, etc that I have done with the forum at large. Consistently, HeloNorth has left lame taunts on my posts. Never has he left an "opinion", so I see no basis for an argument on anyones part that he is contributing anything positive. And you cannot argue that I am being unprofessional, I never claimed to be on this website to be anything other than friendly, and to share experiences with other Pilots; which I have done consistently. Yes I did look at HeloNorths history/posts, because I wanted to see what HIS consistent attitude was. I had no doubt that he would enlist the aid of someone to come to his aid on this forum, to make some attempt to prop him up as some kind of citizen that is entitled to make facile comments because of his supposed experience. Yet, when encouraged to defend his negativity directly, he declined. I reject your defense of his actions, specifically because he himself will not defend them. So, the professionalism speech does not apply in HeloNorth's case. Especially since he removed his reply, which was nothing more than a taunt, NOT an opinion. Spending 30 seconds on "google" does not qualify as stalking, if it did then following threads would be a felony, and you all would be guilty of "stalking" pornstars" ;-) Quote
rotormandan Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 I'm sure it toom more than 30 seconds to delete all of your previous posts. (I was stalking too). I tried googling helonorth and just got jh and vr replies. I actually read a few and I didn't see a bunch of negative posts. It took more then a few seconds but i've got a lot of time on my hands at work so i get paid to do this. I would assume the same for helonorth. As a pilot there are many jobs where you get paid to sit and wait like ems, spare/light flying contract in gom, tours in slower season, windy days in ag, any wx day for any job. As far as professionalism, calling someone a d-bag out of the blue, as far as the rest of us are concerned, isn't a prime example of professionalism. It is kinda funny though. Usually people save that kinda stuff for the jh side of things though. 1 Quote

Falko Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 I think I understand. If I had to sit around waiting to fly, I'd get pretty cranky too. Now I kinda feel bad, a little. look at my helicopters, look at me, look at me, iam soooo special........is that what you are trying to say DS_HMMR ? Quote

If you've never had to wait around to fly then you've never worked in this industry as a pilot. For the most part waiting is part of the gig. At least in my experience. Quote

ridethisbike Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 DS... I haven't been on this forum long, and I haven't read any of the posts of helenorth's... nor yours for that matter (really I'm sure I have, just don't remember). I'm not defending helenorth, and I'm not attacking any of your other posts on this forum, but that ONE in particular was pretty unprofessional. I'm also pretty sure that he didn't bother to defend himself because he was speechless. When I first read it, it took me more than a few minutes to snap out of the "Well now..." mind set. That being said, I've got some studying to do. Checkride in a month or so! Keep the landing gear on bottom! Quote
DS_HMMR Posted May 29, 2012 Author Posted May 29, 2012 good luck with your check ride. I make no apologies. But I'm definitely out of here for good. good luck. Quote
rotormandan Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 1 d-bag sets you off for good? Good luck out there. Thanks for playing. Quote
Falko Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 I make no apologies.... you may want to think about your attitude there DS_HMMR. Quote
rotormandan Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 Strange how he deletes all of his posts expect a few left in this thread. Quote
Spike Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 I find it interesting when a Helicycle owner posts videos of him and his machine doing stuff, not much is said….. Plus, the pro vs. wealthy hobbyist is an interesting discussion as well…… Quote

Plus, the pro vs. wealthy hobbyist is an interesting discussion as well……I didn't see the video of the helicycle. If I did, I probably would have commented. In my aviation career I have noticed the owner operator, on average has skills that are marginal at best. The pro's are almost always by far better skilled pilots. 1 Quote
clay Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 Y'all don't start being friendly now!!! I was enjoying reading a stupid argument over a stupid topic 1 Quote
