It will be well worth your time to attend. Remember though you need to put some effort into networking during breaks and such...... I wanted to mention to newcomers that a lot of pilots have cards made up so people can remember them...I think it's a great idea, even if you're not a CFI or working for a company that gives you a card. You can get cheapo cards free at Vista Print and probably many other places. Also, guys wear suits, or shirts and ties, this is not a jumpsuit and boots, or tank tops and flip flops event.

Thank you for the info, Goldy.

Im still in the process of selecting the correct school to get certified to fly so Im not quite there yet to market myself but a lot of people recommended me to go because I can still walk away with some valuable information.

Abailey0116,

As I will probably welcome you and/or hand you your name tag, introduce yourself and I will get you with the VR group for getting to know everyone.

You will learn a lot by attending and it begins the industry networking process.

Try to attend all of the FAASTeam presentations that begin at 1500 on Saturday afternoon and then the one drink social hour.

Check your PM

Abailey0116,

Don't worry about not being "in" the industry yet, I have attended the last two years without a single lesson under my belt. I have met great people, learned alot, and really enjoyed myself. There will be representatives from many schools there, so have some questions ready for them. It's one stop shopping, saves alot of time and money, to find out about schools that interest you.

Attend everything you can and get your moneys worth, even the job fair, all events are a learning and networking opportunity. Be quick to grab the people that you want to talk to, and don't be shy, groups form quickly and it can be hard to get a question in. Two of the best opportunities to socialize, and ask questions in my oppinion, are the Safety seminar on saturday, and the VR meet and greet, they are less crouded and more relaxed.

See you there.

Well. it looks like I'll be attending after all! Credit card will be taking a hit, but it's worth it. Now to go order some contact cards and print off some resumes...

Hey all,

At least ten of our team will be there, and we can't wait. I'll be there friday around 3pm.. as many have said, this is the best thing you can do for your career, no matter what level you are at (if you don't need a job, it's time to give back!!). There are so many amazing people in attendance, you will be surprised.

We will have a VR get together at the Pub one night and i hope you all can come, it's always a lot of fun and a great place to meet PLU.

If you don't have a VR pin now is the time to speak up.. there are only a few left. I mailed one out today.

Hope to see you all soon.

I think my plan is to be there by Friday night... (Long story but women are involved, so subject to change). I will have a condo with all amenities, and transportation, so my place, yours, or checking out the sites, let me know what's in the plans.

Breakfast it is then! If you guys can wait until 9am or so...I think I fly in around 8am Sat. The British pub actually makes a pretty good breakfast.

I guess if I wanted to keep things private, I should not have posted it on the internet for all to see!

Anyone is welcome to come down, but I'm not buying for the table this time!

Please join us for the FAASTeam seminar on Sat at 1300. It is going to be a great one, packed with some thought provoking topics.

Register here, if you dont that is ok. However, it makes it easier for me. :-)

whats the difference between heli success in vegas and the heli success in California in February?

Heli-Success in Vegas is the original 2 day event. It was so popular, and usually sold out, that HAI asked them to do a "mini" version that runs a couple hours during the Heli-Expo, which is in Anaheim, CA this year.

Vegas is still the best, but if you can't make Vegas, then go to the one at Heli-Expo next year.

I will be arriving Friday night as well. I will busy most of Saturday but hope to make the FAAST event and whatever after.

My VR pin and nametag are still MIA after the move but I think I know most of you guys by now and any new faces I'm looking forward to meeting, don't be shy.

I hit the Riviera today and the British Pub has a new name, "Wicked Vicky's Tavern".

Glen is the bartender!

Maybe "Wicked Vicky's is just their Halloween name? Sounds scary enough to me !

Well, looks like my buddy is bailing on me. If anyone still needs a room I could use the help paying for it.
