Astro Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 It totals about $320 to $325 per hour (including fuel and CFII) and I don't know anywhere with a better R44 price.Konect Aviation McMinnville, OR. $280/hr wet with CFI for time building. I have seen as low as $200/hr wet but only for ferry flights. Just read through some of the other threads in this section. Quote

virginiapilot Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 So you're not really "time building" with them, you're training.eagle5, No offense, but what is your point? (Or do you even have a point other than trying to sound cute and cross examine a guy who's just being polite and answering your questions?)So what if his time involved some "training" instead of "time building"? Chuck is interested in flying helicopters and I provided him with a relatively inexpensive way to do just that. Sorry if you can't understand that, but it's happening, bubba. Quote
eagle5 Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 (edited) Time building is for; Cfiis who graduated with less than 200 hrs because they trained in a 300, can't find work and now need to build up to the Robbie 200. Cfiis with 200 hrs who can't find work and need to build time because everyone wants 300 hrs. Working cfiis who need more 44 time so they can teach in their company's 44. 500 hr cfiis who want more 44 time so they can possibly get a summer job flying tours in one. Pilots who want to take pictures of boats. If you are still training you should be focusing on making a good impression with your school as to maximize your odds of being hired there. Going somewhere else for cheaper 44 time might hurt those odds. Unless you are willing to offer Chuck a job when he's done? Anyway, this is a time building forum, Chuck said he flew with you and learned a lot. I was curious what he learned, since time building is less about learning and more about reaching an arbitrary number an employer wants. Then he said he only had 30 hrs, which makes him a student not a time builder. Perhaps he will post what he learned on the flight training forum? I've learned a few things on time building flights, but never "a lot",so shoot me for asking. Edited October 14, 2015 by eagle5 Quote
RagMan Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 I'm curious Chuck, what airframe are you looking to take your check ride? And are you learning to fly for a future career or pleasure? Quote
chuck308 Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 To everybodyI have not done any flying in about 2 years, that's why I said I learned a lot and it's the first timein a R44.To answer the other questions in one swipe, flying and golf are just hobbies for me Ido them when I have time.I'll get my lic someday if it's in two months or six months it's not top of my list of things to do. chuck Quote
eagle5 Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 I guess casual hobbiest is better than who I was beginning to think you were. Which is a fictional client made up to spur interest in the company. Its been done before on this site! I like golf too. Quote
