Flying Pig
Can we all now agree that this Robinson thing was just a bad idea from the start? Long live the 300!

r22butters
What's a 300?
lelebebbel
with Robinson you have to buy new blades every few years, with Schweizer you gotta wonder if you'll still be able to buy new blades in a few years.... adam32
People have been saying that for a decade...surprisingly there's still a ton of 300's in the air
Astro
The school near me that used 300s closed a few years ago, haven't seen any since.
apiaguy
I'm still instructing in a true "300". That is a Hughes 269B model produced in 1966. The factory (sikorsky) has new blades available on the shelf right now and the B model hasn't been produced since 1970. Sure, everyone complains about the price of parts... a set of 3 is $66000 or more than 1/2 what the helicopter is worth... but they are still available. The 300C will be around another 40 years easy.... Not the cheapest training helicopter... so don't look for it in that role. Just spoke with a school that has a couple and a private student wadded one up a couple months ago... he just can't find it the "right" thing to do to go with a robinson. Everybody understands.
