MitchellW
Does anyone know of a flight school that does ab-initio training in Enstrom Helicopters.
helonorth
The Enstrom world is a small one so if any of these aren't close, they could probably tell you about some place that is at least closer. http://www.hitechhelicopters.net/commercial.html# http://spikerhelicopters.com http://aaaheli.com

Boatpix
I visited Enstrom Helicopter in Menominee, Michigan last year to check out the production line. Those helicopters first flew in 1959 and the The Robinson R22 twenty years later in 1979. They both share the Lycoming 4 cylinder engine of different horsepower. it's been at least 25 years since I flew in an Enstrom and I liked it back then but not sure it can compete with the Robinson's. If you were to buy one today, the 4 cylinder Enstrom is more expensive than the 6 cylinder Robinson R44 which first flew in 1994. The R44 is one slick machine as I operate 3 of them. Enstroms are available cheap to buy and expensive to rent. It might be perfect as a hobbiest but it's kind of like a Studebaker in an Uber world. I'd make sure you have some Robinson time if you want to get a job somewhere unless your near a company that operates the Enstrom. For the last 4.5 years a Chinese company owns Enstrom.
