Osterhjm Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 I've been on this site everyday for the past couple months and it still managed to sneak up on me. Hopefully they'll send out the list next Tuesday (in 24 hours) like they did for the September board Quote
I3uller Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 Here's to hoping. I've been actively trying to ignore the upcoming board and this forum so that I wouldn't be counting down the days. I've been pretty unsuccessful at that haha Quote
Osterhjm Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 Lol thank god it's deer season or I'd have nothing to keep my mind of this board Quote
64wannabe Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 Yes, I've been trying to keep my mind off of it. But its so close. Any football fans out there? Who's your team? Go Patriots! Quote

rickdarnell25 Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 I would not mind at all if there were 70 slots, and only 69 applicants. I just want in. Quote
rickdarnell25 Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 I've never been under this much pressure. The sheer anticipation is killer. Well, maybe in Afghanistan. Lol Quote
rwfoxjr Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 Well, after getting the "yes, everything is where it needs to be" line for the past 3 weeks, I get an email from my recruiter today saying, "call me when you can". So I call him and he proceeds to tell me that his ops guy at the battalion level is "pretty sure" that I'm going to be on this board... He said something along the lines of, "he says he's submitted everything but he hasn't gotten the clearance that everything has been approved yet, but he thinks they would have told us by now if the packet wasn't ready." Really makes me worry I'm going to end up waiting another few months because these guys didn't get done what needed to be done. Is there any way to check whether or not a civilian packet is ready to be boarded? Any advice? Thanks for your replies! Quote
I3uller Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 That has been my struggle after missing both the July and September boards with a complete packet. But I wouldn't worry too much because that is the standard way it works for civilians. It's submitted to USAREC and if they don't hear anything back then it should be good to go. There isn't any way for civilians to get information on packet status so you just have to go with the information your recruiters give you. Quote
rwfoxjr Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 As I know you've been through this and I know you know what you're talking about, that's not the answer I wanted to hear, haha. Crossing my fingers! Quote
I3uller Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 Haha ya I definitely know the feeling. I tried many many different avenues to get some sort of confirmation from USAREC but really crossing your fingers is all you can do at this point unfortunately. Quote
Ja88Af Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 I called USAREC this morning trying to see if my packet was updated. The person in the phone recognized my voice and said I told "this guy" to tell "this guy" to tell "this guy" to tell your recruiter to tell you that it was updated. You didn't get any confirmation? -no sir Okay what's your last name (Name) Hang on my system is going a little slow. Yep your packet was updated Nov 4th with your transcript and updated APFT. Quote
