akscott60 Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 Past life time ! Lol Curious how my fixed wing experience converts to whirly birds...You will have more flight time than any active duty company level pilot you will meet. I know my fixed wing time helped me. 1 Quote
Talon64 Posted August 25, 2014 Author Posted August 25, 2014 Are the showers in wocs like basic training style? Open bay showers and5 minutes only? Or private? Will I be able to manscape? Quote

Will I be able to manscape? Please do not manscape! Speaking from experience, it just adds that much more time spent cleaning the shower for field day/barracks inspection. Hahaha. 2 Quote
Creep0321 Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 its only 5-7 weeks anyway, hit it up before you pickup, and again after graduation. Haha. 1 Quote
Talon64 Posted August 28, 2014 Author Posted August 28, 2014 Nah it would be any different than facial. Its already bic Quote
magnus017 Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 I hope you aren't my roommate and/or that the Army tacs aren't as psycho about the whole white glove inspection thing. Can't tell you how many times someone failed room inspection because one little tiny hair was found near the shower drain or stuck to the side of the wall. Going over the sink area with a fine tooth comb is one thing, trying to do it in a shower is not as much fun. (Btw, we never shaved our face in the shower) Quote
Talon64 Posted August 29, 2014 Author Posted August 29, 2014 I tried to practice going that long and it is far too unbearable after 1.5 weeks. Feels like velcro after 3-4 days. Quote

Talon64 Posted August 29, 2014 Author Posted August 29, 2014 If youve never shaved down there, don't do it unless it's for permanent Quote

I suppose you could scope out housing if you want, although there's such high turnover here that whatever you look at now won't be available by the time you finish up WOCS, though you can get a good idea of what the townhomes look like in different neighborhoods (unless you choose to live on post). I live in the Wakefield neighborhood, which is a conglomerate of townhomes and nice apartments off Freedom Drive off of Rucker Blvd. The actual townhouse I'm in is *really* nice; others are less nice but still very decent for the price. Other than that...I mean, it's lower Alabama. The biggest thing that happened here in the last few months was Chick Fil-A opening (and Jimmy Johns!). 1 Quote
akscott60 Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 There is a Cheddars now. Best thing that ever happened to Dothan. Quote
