A-aron Posted February 8, 2016 Report Posted February 8, 2016 If you are already selected, why even bother working out? I hear that you will get all the running and pushups you will ever need while in basic. Quote
Shindig Posted February 8, 2016 Author Report Posted February 8, 2016 bc I want to be ready from start Quote
A-aron Posted February 8, 2016 Report Posted February 8, 2016 What happens if you hurt yourself before you even go to basic? Quote
dovq2011 Posted February 8, 2016 Report Posted February 8, 2016 Shindig, out of curiosity, what is your BCT class date and where? And do you know what class you're in? Quote
r22butters Posted February 8, 2016 Report Posted February 8, 2016 You know this guy is your side's Butters,...only he somehow got hired!? That means that if he were in fact a real person that the Army's standards are even lower than those of a commercial operator who hires 200 hour Robby Rangers to fly tourists around in an R-44 for minimum wage. Think about it. Quote

MuffinMan Posted February 8, 2016 Report Posted February 8, 2016 Holdover life. Thanks MEPS, you did an awesome job with my security clearence.I did my initial security interview in October/November. Signed my contract 3 weeks ago but don't ship to BCT until May. a few of my bosses have already gotten the clearance forms to fill out and send back. Should I be expecting a one-on-one interview as well before I go to BCT? Quote

I'm a bit curious as to how that works Quote
A-aron Posted February 8, 2016 Report Posted February 8, 2016 They actually contacted people for your Secret? 1 Quote
Shindig Posted February 8, 2016 Author Report Posted February 8, 2016 ok i went to the racks room shoes and got a great deal bc they offer military discounts 10% off and on top of that I get 1/2 the second pair so i got some sandles So I got some shoes nike downshifter 6. but i wont be able to bring them to boot bc we have to wear boots all time im thinking...but these will be good for jogging to train....i'm wondering if i should start running uphill with weights bc i heard the army runs with big sacks etc in boot camp 1 Quote
dovq2011 Posted February 8, 2016 Report Posted February 8, 2016 A-aron that's not unheard of - I've had to do several interviews on behalf of others' Secret clearances. Like I said, some investigators don't appreciate jokes though... Investigator: Has Mr. M misused government equipment before?Me: Define "misuse of government equipment."Investigator: I can't really quantify that for you.Me: Well, we were in a military college together, and he threw his chair at the wall to try and kill a spider... does that count?Investigator: ... yes or no, did he misuse government equipment?Me: ... no, he didn't. It was a chair... Quote
A-aron Posted February 8, 2016 Report Posted February 8, 2016 I'm guessing I wasn't interesting enough for them to require to contact people. I was lucky and my investigator was a DEA pilot and so naturally most of the interview was talking about flying. Quote
