akscott60 Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 Littlebirds are cool but the MH-47 is what catches my eye. I'll let you know how the 47 course is. 3 Quote
t.o.n.y Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 Wednesday's warrant selection had 3 58s and 4 64s. No 47s Quote
stearmann4 Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 While fine for other reasons, the Kiowa is no more of a pipeline to little birds than a CH-47, UH-60, AH-64, or anything else. If you want to work towards SOAR, the best thing you can do (as far as flying goes) is get a lot of hours. The airframe makes zero difference. True statement, over half of my MH-47 company is comprised of 58' pilots, to include the Company Commander. It's completely up to what the REGT needs at a particular time, it also hinges on your perceived personality during assessment. That said, the AH-6 guys mostly come from gun platforms, but the AH and MH-6s are largely interchangeable with all flavors of pilots flying the MHs. Quote
