I'm active af too. Congratulations on selection, man!!! Any orders or class date yet?

Thanks. No class date yet, but I'm not expecting anything for at least another two weeks.

Eh... I went through WOCS in July/August and it wasn't nearly as bad as going through basic in the winter.

Probably depends on where you're from. I guess some people don't mind being drenched in sweat 24/7.

Dunker looks too easy, just unbuckle and swim out.

Not too freak any of the AD guys out, but a buddy of mine who was selected in the NOV board got a class date of August...he was a younger guy who doesn't have WLC so I'm hoping that's why his class date is so far off

Was hoping to have a class date around that time frame

For you civilian guys that have dates six months out, did they tell you things you can and can't do or any restrictions of any type? I'm just curious, I'd like to keep going full swing at my current job if I have to wait six months from selection and in order for me to do that I may have to deploy overseas for another few months. Thanks in advance.

^Im guessing a deployment is outside of the scope of a civilian brief. I signed/swore in yesterday and didn't really receive any specifics other than the standard don't get a DWI, don't get arrested, don't get hurt etc. I still have a few questions on travel related stuff too.

I am curious as to how they would view it. I think they basically just want you to show up when you are supposed to and don't go in to specifics. The risk of getting hurt would be much higher in a deployed environment but I don't imagine they would say no... just the good ole "be careful" like a mom would say. I presume they will make no inquiries about my location and care less as long as I'm not in handcuffs or a hospital bed.

@GoodKnight: Shipping in July? So is shipping out is typically about 5 months out? Actually, I prefer a further out ship date -- can this be requested when I sign the papers at MEPs?

I guess I'll be in the next class after you KM. Rucker in Oct.
