Lindsey Posted August 1, 2015 Posted August 1, 2015 Because the search function is cool. Very short notice looks like I will be starting this course on Monday. Will offer insights as they arise. How'd you snag this? I'm on leave now but when I get back I'd be interested. Don't start Hawks until mid OCT. Quote
Lindsey Posted August 1, 2015 Posted August 1, 2015 My strongest WOOD guidance to he WOs; take every, single course of instruction offered you, even seek some out, even if it's not a field or track that interests you. Somewhere down the line in your career it will benefit you. I received that same advice some 26 years a go, and it's helped me out far beyond the amount of effort it took to choke the courses down. Mike-What's "WOOD" guidance? Quote

Definitely taking the approach of getting whatever schooling I can. Got 5's and 9's down pretty good for the 67 already. With my luck though ill be in that lakota class. Quote
wm200 Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 I heard they don't even make you memorize 5 and 9s anymore. Back in my day it was hard. 1 Quote

shainbourassa Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 It was already suppose to have been started. As everything in the Army goes it just keeps getting pushed. Last I heard early FY16, could have changed again though. Quote
SuperJas Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 I heard Oct maybe they'll start a Lakota class, but it'll be a slow transition until all classes are them Quote
crash Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 Well I figure which ever 5&9's I memorize my class will be sure to get the other airframe. Murphy and I go way back! Quote

"Don't you know how much those cost?!" "Yeah, I do. Doesn't the Army? Who the hell would give aircraft that cost this much to zero hour students??" Quote

apacheguy Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 I wouldn't worry about breaking a Lakota, they only run around $5M. Now the Longbow, that's some serious cash there (~$25M). Quote

mdeneso Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 Other than property accountability, what would be the ALSE OIC main responsibility? Never really interacted/seen the OIC in the ALSE shop. Quote
