Velocity173 Posted January 9, 2013 Posted January 9, 2013 Another great story is the Apache in Afghanistan that lost the tail rotor and the pilot (Arizona Guard) flew it all the way to Salerno and did a roll-on. The LT that was with him went into panic mode and he saved her life. That guy was talking over ICS and making radio calls like it was just another traffic pattern. The UH-60M is far more different than a L and it's still a Black Hawk. Hopefully with the more HP and lighter airframe they won't have to tell the 60 guys to slow down during escorts anymore. 1 Quote

Also, it seems a bit of a waste to have an Apache as an aircraft escort.. thats what the 58's for haha Quote
