Diesel5187 Posted August 1, 2014 Posted August 1, 2014 That's the length of Phase 1 of WOCS. What is Phase 1? Quote
USAR153D Posted August 1, 2014 Posted August 1, 2014 What is Phase 1?I'm not even sure myself. Maybe others who've been through it can elaborate on the details. Quote
magnus017 Posted August 1, 2014 Posted August 1, 2014 There are two types of phase 1. The phase 1 resident course (the one you physically attend at rucker) and the phase 1 distance learning course (all online classes). You are only eligible for the distance learning course if you were a prior Army or Marine E-5 and above with WLC (warriors leadership course) or Marine Sgts Course. Every one else has to attend the resident course (there were some exceptions for E-6 and above for the Navy and Airforce with SNCO training but that probably doesn't apply to anyone here). Phase 2 WOCS is the same for everyone and everyone has to attend. Hopefully this answered your question. 1 Quote
USAR153D Posted August 1, 2014 Posted August 1, 2014 I think the question was more geared towards what the curriculum entails for phase 1. Quote
Espi Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 Hi, first of all congratulations to all selected in July. I was also selected; I have not received any e-mails either, I was on DA orders for Drill but in the last 2 weeks my drill orders got deleted along with my follow on assignment. : ) that's a good sign... right? Lindsey Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 Congrats to everyone that was selected this past board! 3 Quote
Espi Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 Heck yeah. Are you doing AD?I am doing AD, I think i'm still in shock! I've been in the Army for 10 years as a 19K, this is something I had always dreamed of doing. I'm extremely happy! Looking forward to all the training! 2 Quote

cptamerica2 Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 Question about LASIK...I just found out I'm a candidate for LASIK, and since I won't be PCSing to Rucker for over 6months I can definitely get it done in time for BOLC/ flight school. If I do get it done, it will require a new flight physical. I've been assured by the doc on post that getting a waiver is no big deal, but I'm still not sold. Has anybody had issues with getting a new physical after surgery? Thanks in advance. Quote
