This has me thinking, as I primarily want Blackhawks but you just never know until selection time comes what you'll get. Are there instances where people switch airframes at some point in their career if they want? Or strictly just needs of the Army type of thing?

It is uncommon, especially in more recent years. The Army has denied airframe changes to pilots who told HRC it was either allow the change or lose a pilot. Doesn’t make sense when the army is short on pilots but HRC still denies it.

Yeah dude. Ive been stoked to hear no one likes cas so it would be an easy grab. But there needs to be the airframe available first lol

I wont be surprised if my class ends up stacked with apaches next because of this. This was the perfect selection for what everyone in my class is hoping for. Oh well, needs of the Army..

Order for warrants went 47, 2 c12, 47, then 60. I forget the middle but the echos went last. Most people got what they wanted.

I haven’t heard anyone who flies them complain about it. Plenty of people want to fly them and select them.

I am probably wrong here, but I thought the TH-67 excluded applicants from both the c-12 and AH-64E? Or is it just the c-12?

WO- 2 47, 2 64, then 60, 47, 60s

 

CO- 60, 60, 47, maybe 60, 47, 60s

Personally I don't mind attack. But if I have the choice I am going for 47s or 60s first. I like their mission better.

 

Ultimately I will be happy in any air frame though.

Anybody know the ratio of 72 classes to 67s? I heard the 67s were going to be gone soon.

3 to 1. And 67s are not going anywhere at least in a year or so.

Probably 5 people in my class wouldve taken Apaches had their been more offered.
