SBuzzkill Posted June 3, 2015 Report Posted June 3, 2015 Shindig is this you? He seems remarkably trolly, just like you. http://helicopterforum.verticalreference.com/topic/18957-aircraft-dashes-are-frighteningly-messy/?do=findComment&comment=167349 There are a few characters that are on various aviation forums that I consider to be the same people with different names. Shindig is clearly a (funny) troll. Yesterday he had his avatar picture the PCEP Skinny Kid, and combined with his interest description says to me that he went on google to invent a persona he knew we would jump all over. On many of the other forums I browse he would have been banned very quickly. 1 Quote
Yamer Posted June 3, 2015 Report Posted June 3, 2015 Is that type i or type one.... Is that the same as type A? 1 Quote
squid Posted June 3, 2015 Report Posted June 3, 2015 Yamer, Type I as in eye. The test breaks down into type D I S and C Dominance, Influence, Steadiness/supportive and conscientious. It's one of the more accurate personality tests that I have found. I haven't studied the type A or B set so I do not know what it would fall under, but my Guess would be type B. Quote
Yamer Posted June 3, 2015 Report Posted June 3, 2015 I want to learn more about that stuff... Thank you Quote
Velocity173 Posted June 3, 2015 Report Posted June 3, 2015 Don't you listen to them Shindig. You just keep doing what you know you need to do. As if upper body strength is even important for aviators. Like it takes strength to engage an auto pilot right??? Don't worry about the military style push-up with your upper arm parallel to the deck. That's not even humanly possible! If you can knock out a solid 10-12 push-ups where you make an effort to go down they'll give you the remaining 23-25 push-ups. They're looking more for effort than actual numbers. Also, you can always opt for the "alternate push-up" or Yoga method. If you can maintain Downward Dog for 57 seconds, you automatically get maxed out in the push-up category. Not many people know about that option. I think you're on the right track. All you need is a tweak here or there and you'll have a competitive packet. 2 Quote
Tradewinds Posted June 3, 2015 Report Posted June 3, 2015 Now that just made my day.....thanks. Quote

USCav19D Posted June 4, 2015 Report Posted June 4, 2015 The key to remembering is quite simple really. One balances a red ball on its nose for a paying audience, and the other refers to an aquatic mammal. 2 Quote

stearmann4 Posted June 5, 2015 Report Posted June 5, 2015 Its actually a sort-of acronym: SeE Air and Land. It's been abbreviated over the years, but the punctuation used to be intact: S.E.A.L. Most Team guys will make the correction on the spot. Wow, this thread has gone in directions I could've never imagined. 1 Quote
Tesla Posted June 5, 2015 Report Posted June 5, 2015 I can't seem to find directions online on how to make smore's cake? Can anybody help me out? Do I need three pound of sugar, or two? 1 Quote
SBuzzkill Posted June 5, 2015 Report Posted June 5, 2015 (edited) The mallows should take care of 1lb worth of sugar so two pounds is what you need to go with. That said, it obviously changes based on the size of the cake. Here is a great video on ingredient proportions: Be advised that there is some cursing. Edited June 5, 2015 by SBuzzkill 4 Quote
