Kinda curious to see if this C-12 trend continues. There is only one person who wants them in my class. Quote
dukun8ter Posted September 21, 2017 Report Posted September 21, 2017 And for the love of god, don't get a tattoo of the airframe you have your heart set on, only to have none come down on selection day.Has this happened before? Lol Quote

Lindsey Posted September 21, 2017 Report Posted September 21, 2017 17-022 My god how the time flies. Do you want C-12s or no? I understand the feeling if you don't -- a tiny part of the reason I went Army Aviation was because you were guaranteed helicopters...until like 3 months before my selection when they stuck C-12s in there. Hahahahaohgod. Quote

Hahahahaohgod. No I absolutely don't want want them. No offense to anyone who does, I just have no interest in them and I don't want anything to do with commercial flying when I get out. I've just been watching this thread everyday since that last selection where half the class got them...kinda strange times right now, where I'm concerned with getting a 60 lol, or anything with a rotor over my head for that matter. I hear you. Maybe you've got to start talking up the airlines and associated pay with all the dudes in your class to get them to start considering FW, hahaha. Tactical distribution of information. 1 Quote
Dmurray Posted September 21, 2017 Report Posted September 21, 2017 Another reason why I was happy to get the 67 for primary. Quote

Cantankerously Posted September 27, 2017 Report Posted September 27, 2017 Or get the WO ranks tattooed on your back, before WOCS. And have it be discovered and obviously mocked by all your WOCS brethren. Also don't marry a stripper at Teasers. Yes, that was the same dude.I wonder what ever happened to that guy. Quote

Dmurray Posted September 28, 2017 Report Posted September 28, 2017 Youve got plenty of time to worry about getting Apaches. Quote
CharyouTree Posted September 28, 2017 Report Posted September 28, 2017 Ugh. That doesn't look promising for us Apache seeking individuals. Lmao You couldn't possibly find something worse to worry about. If anything, a trend of low 64 numbers will likely result in a scramble for more 64 pilots at some point. There's no apparent rhyme or reason to any of this. When I was in flight school, we literally had a class of all Apaches followed the next selection by a class of all Hawks (possibly vice versa). In the wrong class for what you wanted? Too bad. The fact that neither would actually class up to advance airframe for 3+ months, and a switch would be nothing more than a name change meant NOTHING. 1 Quote
Slorunr Posted October 3, 2017 Report Posted October 3, 2017 To expand on other poster comments. We say "C-12" but that really expands out to: C-12 (King air)C-26 (Metroliner)UC-35 (Citation)C-20 (G3 and G4s)C-37 (G5)RC-12 (SEMA Spooky king air)EO-5 (SEMA DHC-7)B-300 (SEMA Spooky super king air)There are also more. Army got a few T-6s that are currently chilling out at Redstone along with some other cooler spooky craft. Point is, we say "C-12" but it really expands to a much larger organization of fixed wing aviation inside the United States Army. The mission is transport, spooky sh*t, and test/research.Just for clarification, if one were to end up selecting c-12, would they potentially end up in one of those other aircraft which you listed? Or do all start in the king air with hopefully having the opportunity to change airframes later in their career? Thanks! 1 Quote
